The NRSWA Supervisor course is held at our training venue, 50 minutes away from Northwich, in Manchester, just off the M66. Conveniently, Manchester Bury Interchange is a 5-minute taxi ride away. This venue is easily accessible from Nottingham via the M1, Burton upon Trent via the A38, Leicester and Stoke-on-Trent via the M6, and Sheffield via the M60.

There is plenty of parking available near the training centre. Lunch is not provided. However, the venue is within walking distance of a farm shop, and there is a restaurant just a 10-minute drive from the town centre with various lunch options.

The NRSWA Operative course is also available at this location. Whether you need to carry out the manual excavation and reinstatement of footpaths and highways or be qualified to oversee the works, these courses will give you the right certification to carry out work under the New Roads and Street Works Act. The NRSWA Reassessment course can be taken at any time before your certificates expire and up to 5 years after your expiry. Any remaining time left before expiry is added to your new card.

Our courses always include:

What to expect from your course

Any streetworks site must have at least one qualified operative on site at all times during works, and the site must have a qualified NRSWA supervisor appointed to the site who can oversee the works.

The supervisor need not be on-site at all times, but must be able to adequately carry out the role. The NRSWA streetworks supervisor qualification does not replace or overrule the operative qualification if you already have an Operative Card, you can hold both an Operative and Supervisor qualification. However, one person cannot cover both roles at the same time.

Your course will cover a combination of street works units over the 5 days of your course. Once you complete each unit, you will take a multiple-choice test.

Since our courses offer various combinations, you must check that the course you want to book includes the units you require. Verify from the NRSWA Supervisor Units list below.
