What is an Abrasive Wheels Open Course?
Open Courses are face-to-face classroom training. They have regular course dates and locations and are available to book online or by phone.
In this course, you’ll learn how to stay safe while using abrasive wheels, spot dangers, and get to know the important safety rules and best practices.
This training is for people who need to use abrasive wheels for their job, or for those who want to learn how to safely pick, set up, and attach abrasive wheels and discs to hand-held machines. Abrasive wheels are important in many jobs, so safety training is key for those who use them.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) says that about half of the accidents with abrasive wheels happen because of mistakes made by the person using them or not following safe work methods. Only someone who knows what they’re doing should set up wheels. This training helps lower accidents by teaching people the right way to look after and use these tools.
