The CCNSG Safety Passport renewal course is for those who have already achieved their CCNSG Safety Passport. Every three years the Safety Passport needs to be renewed and this course is for those with an in-date passport. In April 2022, the renewal rules changed and you no longer have the 3-month grace period to complete your renewal course. Your renewal course must now be completed before the expiry date and you are eligible to renew up to 6 months before the expiry date. Why do I need a CCNSG Safety Passport?
All work exposes people to hazards, this is especially true for industries such as engineering and construction. Over the last few decades, these industries have worked hard to change the way health and safety within these industries are viewed and have promoted the importance that everyone working on-site is correctly trained. This has led to different schemes that are often mandatory to have completed before you can work on a site.
Suitable for all members of the workforce, this nationally recognised CCNSG Safety Passport course has been designed to reduce accidents and lost time incidents on sites.
There have been over 1 million Safety Passport Cards issued and 80 approved training providers of the Safety Passport course since it was developed. It is in its 8th version since it was first created in 1993.

Assessment and Certification
The assessments are in the form of a multiple-choice test. To pass, you must achieve a score of at least 80%.
Once you have passed your CCNSG renewal course, you will receive your Safety Passport, which will allow you into sites that require it for three years.
After these three years expire, you have three months to take a renewal course again and test to prove that you are still suitable for holding a CCNSG Safety Passport. If you do not renew within these three months, you will have to retake the entire course.
You can book both your CCNSG course and the renewal course through Project Skills Solutions online or by calling a member of our team on 0800 0213 263.

Entry Requirements
You are only eligible to complete the renewal course if you have completed the full 2-day Safety Passport training and have a maximum of 6 months left before its expiry date.
This course is delivered in English, and therefore a good understanding of spoken and written English is necessary.
