The EUSR Category 1 & 2 Combined: Locate Utility Services & Implement Safe (Digging) Excavating Practices course covers the essentials of detecting buried utility services with the practical skills of excavating and maintaining trenches. Principally, you will be trained in how to correctly use a CAT and Genny to locate buried services and apply safe excavating techniques, using recognised and approved detection methods while minimizing risks and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This course is ideal for managers, supervisors, operatives, and safety professionals working in utility excavation and underground service detection. Through a mix of theory, practical training, and assessments, you will build hands-on experience and prove your competency in safe excavation. On successful completion, an EUSR card will be awarded.

EUSR Card
You must complete the practical and theory-based training as well as the assessment to be added to the EUSR register and gain your EUSR card. This card allows utility workers to access excavation and construction sites. Your card will be valid for 3 years.

Assessment and Certification
The EUSR Category 1 & 2 Combined: Locate Utility Services & Implement Safe (Digging) Excavating Practices course evaluates your knowledge of key safety practices when locating underground services and carrying out safe excavation work. Furthermore, you will be assessed through a combination of theory, practical sessions, and assessments. Upon successful completion, you will receive an EUSR card, valid for 3 years.
