However, after expiry, they may need to re-register to maintain their status. This process ensures that professionals continue to meet industry standards and stay knowledgeable about the latest practices and safety regulations.

EUSR registers training and skills for the energy and utility sectors. Particularly, Energy and Utility Skills have developed schemes and programmes that qualify individuals for registration on the Energy & Utility Skills Register (EUSR).
Furthermore, these schemes and programmes cover many industries, including Gas, Power, Smart Metering, Telecommunications, Waste and Resource Management, Water, and Cross-Industry.
EUSR SHEA Cross-Country Pipeines Open Course Content
The EUSR SHEA Cross-Country Pipelines course consists of 9 modules, 6 core (1-6) and 3 industry-specific (9-11).
Knowledge and skills covered on the 9 modules:
- Module 1: Understanding workplace responsibilities
- Module 2: Understanding the effects of work on the environment
- Module 3: Identifying and controlling risks
- Module 4: Recognising common hazards and implementing controls
- Module 5: Addressing occupational health hazards on site.
- Module 6: Provides training on emergency response procedures and safety protocols.
- Module 9: Navigating the cross-country environment
- Module 10: Managing cross-country pipeline hazards
- Module 11: Implementing traffic management
Assessment and Certification
The EUSR SHEA Cross-Country Pipelines course evaluates delegates’ knowledge of health, safety, and industry-specific procedures for working on operational sites in cross-country pipeline environments. Each module includes an assessment, which delegates can take individually at the end of each module or all together at the end of the course. The assessments consist of multiple-choice questions. Ultimately, delegates must pass all assessments to receive EUSR registration.
