What is a First Aid Training Open Course?
Open courses are available to anyone and can be booked online or by phone. Thye have regular course dates and are classroom-based, face-to-face training courses.
Learning first aid can teach you how to quickly and effectively help in a medical emergency. It’s essential for being ready to respond to urgent situations, potentially saving lives and lessening the impact of injuries.
Who should take a First Aid Training course?
In every workplace, there should be someone designated to manage emergency situations. According to the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, employers are required to make sure that employees get immediate medical care when needed. This includes having the right equipment, facilities, and trained staff. What’s needed can differ from one workplace to another.
In places where there’s a higher risk of accidents or health issues, it’s necessary to have staff trained in first aid. In less risky workplaces, a simpler version of first aid training might be enough. This decision should be made based on a risk assessment of the workplace.
