The Water Jetting Association

The Water Jetting Association (WJA) provides industry-leading training both in the UK and internationally. WJA courses offer delegates not only the skills required for safe water jetting operations but also the knowledge necessary to meet safety standards outlined in the WJA’s Codes of Practice. The Blue Code focuses on high-pressure and ultra-high-pressure applications, while the Red Code addresses drain and sewer cleaning.

Courses are available for individuals and organisations across industries such as oil and gas, maritime, construction, utilities, and manufacturing. By completing WJA training and obtaining City & Guilds-accredited certification, delegates will gain the ability to perform surface cleaning and preparation, ship hull defouling, industrial tube cleaning, concrete cutting, and demolition.

After successfully completing the Water Jetting Safety Awareness course, candidates can advance to practical training sessions.

You will be able to attend the following Practical Water Jetting Training courses:

  • Drain and Sewer Cleaning (half day) – Learn the safe techniques for using water jetting to clear blockages and maintain drainage systems.
  • Surface Preparation (half day) – Gain skills in preparing surfaces for cleaning or coating using water jetting, essential for effective surface treatment.
  • Tube and Pipe Cleaning (half day) – Acquire the knowledge to use high-pressure water jetting for cleaning tubes and pipes in industrial settings, ensuring maximum flow efficiency.
  • Hydrodemolition (full day) – Build proficiency in using water jetting to safely and efficiently remove concrete, ideal for construction and demolition projects.
  • Standalone Pressure Washing (full day) – Learn proper techniques for high-pressure washing to clean a variety of surfaces, from buildings to vehicles.
  • Safety Awareness / Safety Awareness Refresher (half day, non operational) – Focus on essential safety procedures and risk assessments for water jetting operations, including refresher training for ongoing safety compliance.
