What is a Vehicle Banksman Open Course?
Open courses have regular dates on our website that are able to be booked by anyone either online or by phone. They are face-to-face, traditional classroom courses at a training venue.
Vehicle Banksman training is designed to give you the skills and knowledge needed to safely direct and guide vehicles in different settings such as construction sites, warehouses and transportation yards. Banksman training courses teach you how where danger areas are and how to guide large vehicles, using signals, whilst manoeuvring. It will teach you to recognise the significant risks and be able to give clean and precise signals to vehicles.

This course is designed for those who have the responsibility for manoeuvring vehicles on, off and within busy sites or premises.

Vehicle Banksman Training Course Details
On receiving payment for your Vehicle Banksman training, an email with your ‘course joining instructions’ is sent to you.
This document includes the following details:
- Your chosen course date (Vehicle Banksman is a half-day course)
- Course start time at your chosen venue
- Address of your chosen venue, including a map screenshot
- Details of what to do if you need any special requirements to complete the course, such as a physical disability or a learning or reading difficulty
You need to bring photographic ID, such as a driving licence or passport with you.
Lunch is not included.

Assessment and Certification
You will complete a short written assessment at the end of your course. You will achieve an in-house certificate valid for 3 years unless you enrol on an accredited course.

Entry Requirements
You will need to be able to read and write English to successfully complete the course. There are no other entry requirements.
