What is an Asbestos Awareness Course?
Asbestos was widely used in various industries due to its properties of strength, heat resistance and insulating capabilities. Due to the well-documented health risks, the use of asbestos has been banned in the UK since 1999. However, asbestos is believed to be remaining in 1.5 million buildings.
The aim of an Asbestos Awareness course is to raise awareness about asbestos hazards, educate participants about proper safety precautions, and promote responsible handling and management of asbestos. This is to minimise the risk of exposure and related health issues. At the end of your course, you will recognise the dangers of asbestos and will become aware of the regulations associated with and directly connected to asbestos.
